Finland's right of public access also means wild camping is legal, within limits, so you are not tied to campsites if you would rather find somewhere quieter.
What a camper really gives you here is the range beyond the city. The islands and beaches, the forests and lakes around Helsinki are all within an easy drive, and you can see the museums and galleries in the morning and be somewhere quiet by evening.
