Three ways to do this
How much you hand over is your call, and you can change your mind later. The rental contract is always between you and the renter — Easy Host acts as your agent, which is why the rental income stays yours and we only ever take a commission on it.
For owners who already run their own rentals and just want more bookings.
- Your camper on caravanhelsinki.fi
- Booking engine and calendar
- Card payments, paid out to you per rental
- Deposit handling
For owners who want the rental run for them but can hand the camper over themselves.
- We write the listing and shoot the photos
- Pricing, set season by season
- Every guest message, before and during
- Damage assessment and the deposit
- Payments and a statement each month
For owners who want nothing to do with the day-to-day. You give us keys once.
- Everything in Managed
- We meet the renter and walk them through the camper
- Return inspection, photographed at both ends
- Cleaning arranged between rentals
Every figure includes VAT — it is what you actually pay, not a rate with tax added later. You can move between tiers at any time. Listing works anywhere in Finland; the two managed tiers need us physically on hand, so for now they run in Helsinki, Espoo and Vantaa — ask anyway if you are just outside, we are expanding. Full service works best on rentals of four nights or more; below that the hand-over costs more than it earns, so we would steer you to Managed instead.
Paid after every rental
The renter pays us, and we pass on your share after each rental — not monthly, not quarterly, and not whenever we get round to it. You get a statement with every payment showing the rental, our commission and what is left, so the arithmetic is never something you have to take on trust.
There is nothing for you to set up. You give us your bank details once — no account to create, no identity check to pass, no app to log into, no password to lose. That is deliberate: plenty of these services make you onboard yourself through a payment provider first, and we would rather carry that on our side than hand you a form.
Insurance — read this part
The camper stays insured by you, and you are responsible for that cover. Check your own policy for letting restrictions before anything else: with the policies we hold, renting out roughly half the year is normally allowed without a separate rental policy, but terms differ by insurer and yours may not say the same. We can arrange cover if yours doesn't work.
One exclusion worth knowing before you decide, because it is easy to miss: if an identified renter collects the camper and simply never brings it back, most comprehensive policies — ours included — do not cover it. That is treated as a contractual dispute rather than theft. We reduce the risk the way you would expect (identity and licence checked before hand-over, a signed agreement, a card hold, GPS on the vehicle), but no amount of process removes it entirely, and you should go in knowing that.
For ordinary damage the picture is straightforward: every rental carries a €750 card hold and a €750 excess per incident, renters can buy the excess down to €250, and the camper is photographed at hand-over and at return so what changed is documented in both directions.
Who you're actually dealing with
The service is run by Easy Host Oy (business ID 3288005-7), a Finnish company managing short-stay rentals since 2022. Caravan Helsinki is its camper side — campers we have been renting out since 2020 — and both share the same booking system, the same cleaners and the same people answering the phone.
Bookings handled is the total value of reservations that ran through our system — not our own revenue, which is the commission on it.
We never ask for exclusivity
List your camper with MyCamper, with a local rental firm, on a Facebook group — wherever you like, at the same time as here. We would genuinely rather you did: more places listed means fewer empty weeks, and an empty week earns neither of us anything. No tier requires exclusivity and no contract will ever ask for it.
The one thing that matters if you list in several places is that the calendars stay in step, and we are straight with you about how far we can help. Platforms that publish a calendar feed — Yescapa, Goboony, Camptoo among them — we sync with automatically in both directions. MyCamper does not offer one at all, so nobody can sync with it, us included. What we do instead is tell you the moment a booking lands, with the dates ready to copy, so blocking them there takes seconds rather than being something you discover a week later.
The parts people don't usually mention
Your camper will be used. Rentals put kilometres and wear on a vehicle — that is the trade for the income, and we would rather say so now than have you discover it in September.
Some weeks won't book. Demand is seasonal in Finland: July fills, November does not. We price for that rather than pretend otherwise.
You keep using it yourself. Block the weeks you want in the calendar and they simply aren't offered.
What your camper could earn
Every figure below comes from our own four campers — the rates we actually charge and the nights they were actually booked over the last year. Not a market average.
Summer weeks are the expensive ones to keep — July runs at 94 % booked.
Modelled on the Managed tier — 30 % of the rental, VAT included. Based on our own fleet's last twelve months — the published nightly rates for a comparable camper, and real occupancy of 34 % across the year (94 % in July, 8 % in February). It is an estimate, not a promise of income: a camper that is older, further from Helsinki or less well equipped will earn less. Running costs — insurance, servicing, tyres, depreciation — stay with you.

Our own four are listed exactly the way yours would be — photographed, specced, priced by season. Have a look before you decide.
